Lenovo ThinkPad T400 Review
By business laptop

The business laptops have evolved remarkably to meet the demands from the business sector. So, here comes Lenovo with their ThinkPad T400 to answer their prayers.
ThinkPad T400’s design has improved momentously. But its renovation goes unnoticed. Just like its rubber cushions beneath are vaguely twisted to give more comfort. However, the emphasis was given highly on the major features such as their longer battery life and its high-resolution screen.
This notebook, when it comes to screen, has no problems with its display. In fact, even when utilized directly under the sun’s rays can’t deteriorate its powerful high-resolution performance. It has also a LED backlit screen that adds clarity to the images and cleanliness to its chromatic immersion. And with its 14-inch size and a 1440 x 900 pixel resolution, there’s no doubt that it can deliver quality image at any angle.
Directly below it is a keyboard which is also renovated. Though with minimal changes, its clanking is reduced compared to the previous releases of ThinkPad, thus providing another comfort for hammering wordy documents and other lengthy paper works. Lenovo also planted a LED light located above the keyboard to guide your eyes and fingers when typing at a very low-light situation.
The touchpad also has a slight change. This time, it’s its size. Though the alteration can’t cause any uproar, it is again designed for comfort, giving its user more room for its wandering finger points.
Performance wise, this business laptop has an Intel Core 2 Duo with 2GB of DDR2 RAM. Together with this hardware is the 160GB SATA hard drive, and Intel GMA 4-Series graphics. These are the plain and simple reasons why this laptop can provide favorable performance. Its speed and data processing performance is at top-level score. This notebook also houses useful softwares that are essential for business travellers such as the Anti-Theft Protection which works with the optional fingerprint reader.
With the innovations happening around this business notebook, it seems that Lenovo didn’t consider its low-rating performance for audio. The volume is not maximized as well as the bass quality. But these stagnant features are not uncommon for business laptops. Maybe it’s overlooked. Or maybe it’s less prioritized.
One of the highlights of this mobile computer is its battery. You may sound psychopathic when you want a laptop that works for more than the average human working hours but this laptop can help you reaching that mental status. With the battery that can last up to 10 hours, this hardworking laptop can give you enough working hours to finish your office missions with tons of workloads. But when using it for videos and other tasks that consist of intense image processing, this might lessen its battery life more than the expected. But even then, it can still be considered industrious.
With connections, it still has the usual ports and jacks. On the left side is where the VGA, modem, LAN, 2 USB ports, ExpressCard, and SD-Card reader are found. On the right side, we have the optical and one USB port. At the back is a Kensington lock slot and the power jack. And at the front is the FireWire, wireless switch, headphones and microphone jacks.
Finally, Lenovo’s ThinkPad T400 is a practical business laptop. With its long battery life, high-resolution display, and silent keyboard, it is fair enough to be pegged at a starting price of $749.00.
